Shipping
We ship orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to avoid plants getting stuck in postage over the weekend unnecessarily. Orders are generally shipped out the following Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday after the order is placed, however there may be times where it takes us an extra day to process your order. We appreciate your patience and will update you on the date to expect your order via email if this occurs. Shipping methods and rates are location-specific and automatically calculated at checkout. We will automatically upgrade your shipping if we are able to find a faster method for the same price you paid. You will then be provided with the carrier and tracking number for your order. Please contact us in the event that your package is delayed or misplaced by the courier as soon as possible so we can help resolve the issue.
Local Pick up
We are now offering local pick up at our new location in Orillia, Ontario. Please note that we are an ecommerce business that operates primarily via our website. We do not have a storefront and only offer curbside pick up for the time being. Once your order is placed and you have selected 'local pick up' as your shipping method, we will contact you to discuss a time that works for both of us. We will need a minimum of one hour to fulfill any pick up orders and this time may vary depending on the amount of orders we have coming in at that time. Once we have agreed on a time and you have arrived at our location we ask that you send us an email or call us at (416) 523-1098 to let us know you have arrived and we will be right out with your order.
Local Delivery Through The Planted Aquarium
We offer a flat delivery fee of $10 for all orders within the city of Orillia and $15 for all orders within the cities of Barrie and Innisfil. Same-day delivery is available for orders within Orillia that are placed by 12:00pm each business day. Orders in Barrie and Innisfil are generally fulfilled within 1-3 business days. Once your order is placed, we will contact you directly by email to let you know when to expect your delivery. If you are looking for a specific delivery date and time, please contact us at info@theplantedaquarium.ca before placing the order to discuss if we are able to accommodate it. These services are included under our DOA guarantee (Please see below).
